The EUROPEAN DAY OF THE ENTREPRENEUR '2011

Sofia University "St.Kliment Ohridski" and Sofia Municipality are organizing the ninth issue of the European Day of Entrepreneur (EDE).
This is year it is held in the frame of the European Week of the SMEs under the patronage of the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism and Minister Traicho Traikov.
All the relevant Ministries as well as more than 20 representative public, non-governmental and private structures participate in the preparation of the event. Many international organizations show an interest to the different events, held under the frame of EDE.
The European Day of the Entrepreneur gives a platform to people with an entrepreneurial spirit and innovative ideas, representatives of the small and medium sized business, the academic society – scientists, students, doctoral students, branch organizations, NGOs, state administration in Bulgaria to meet each other and discuss successful models and effective solutions on the innovative development of the country outlining paths for cohesion of the entrepreneurial activities with the European standards.
The EDE Programme is structured in 2 plenary sessions, 18 thematic sessions, one-day seminar, 3 workshops for entrepreneurial young people, a business game "From Business Idea to the Business Model" and a Q&A panel (Questions&Answers).
Main lecturers will be representatives from the European Commission, State Administration, NGO sector, business associations and chambers, local authorities, universities and research organisations – all they having relationships/responsibilities to the SMEs and entrepreneurship.
